HSE Job Responsibilities and Overview

Overview:

Key Responsibilities of HSE Officer

• HSE Compliance:
• Ensure all operations adhere to local and international HSE regulations, standards, and policies.
• Monitor compliance with project-specific safety plans and procedures.
• Risk Assessment and Management:
• Identify hazards and conduct risk assessments for all site activities.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize workplace hazards.
• Training and Awareness:
• Conduct regular HSE training and toolbox talks for all employees and contractors.
• Promote safety awareness and develop a culture of "Zero Incidents."
• Incident Reporting and Investigation:
• Document and investigate all accidents, near misses, and unsafe practices.
• Develop reports with root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Site Inspection and Audits:
• Perform routine site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain records of safety observations and corrective measures taken.
• Emergency Response Preparedness:
• Develop and test emergency response plans, ensuring readiness for accidents or hazardous situations.
• Conduct drills and coordinate with emergency response teams as needed.
• Environmental Protection:
• Monitor environmental impact from project activities and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Implement waste management programs and pollution prevention measures.
• Health and Safety Reporting:
• Prepare and submit regular HSE performance reports to management.
• Track HSE KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and drive continuous improvement.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, or a related field.
• HSE certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, IOSH Managing Safely , or equivalent are mandatory.
• Additional certifications in risk assessment, fire safety, or emergency response are preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of HSE laws, regulations, and best practices in the Oil and Gas sector.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication, leadership, and team management skills.
• Proficiency in incident reporting, root cause analysis, and preparing detailed safety reports.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
