Our client, a prominent player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced HSE Officer to join their team in Sharjah. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing health, safety, and environmental management systems within their manufacturing facility. This role involves ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, and promoting a culture of safety among all employees.Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and industry best practices.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards.
• Coordinate and conduct HSE training programs for employees to promote awareness and understanding of safety practices.
• Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
• Monitor and analyze HSE performance data, preparing reports for management review.
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies and ensure all necessary permits and certifications are obtained and maintained.
• Promote a positive safety culture through effective communication and engagement with all levels of staff.
• Develop and manage emergency response plans and procedures.
• Stay updated with changes in HSE regulations and standards, ensuring the company remains compliant.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the HSE field, with at least 7 years in the GCC region.
• Extensive experience in the steel manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience in managing standards such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001.
• Certifications in NEBOSH and IOSH are required.
• Strong knowledge of HSE laws and regulations in the GCC region.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and influence others in promoting a culture of safety.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
