Job: HSE Officer - Marine

Abu Dhabi

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Health, Safety, and Environmental Management:

Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in accordance with local, national, and international regulations.

Conduct regular inspections and audits of marine operations to ensure compliance with HSE standards.

Identify potential hazards and risks associated with marine operations and recommend corrective actions.

Training and Awareness:

Organize and conduct HSE training sessions and drills for marine personnel to ensure awareness and understanding of safety procedures.

Ensure that all marine staff are properly trained in emergency response procedures and the use of safety equipment.

Incident Investigation and Reporting:

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.

Prepare detailed reports on findings and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Regulatory Compliance:

Stay up-to-date with relevant maritime safety and environmental regulations and ensure that the organization complies with these requirements.

Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure that all necessary permits and certifications are obtained and maintained.

Risk Assessment and Management:

Conduct regular risk assessments of marine operations and facilities to identify potential hazards.

Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate identified risks.

Emergency Response:

Develop and maintain emergency response plans specific to marine operations.

Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure that all personnel are familiar with emergency procedures.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of HSE activities, inspections, training, and incidents.

Ensure proper documentation of safety equipment maintenance and inspections.

Continuous Improvement:

Promote a culture of continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance.

Review and update HSE policies and procedures regularly to reflect changes in regulations and operational practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Marine Engineering, or a related field.

Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH International General Certificate or OSHA Certification.

Experience in HSE roles within the marine industry.

Knowledge of marine safety regulations and best practices.

Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE management software.

Must have UAE experience as HSE Officer in Marine industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
