Job Description

Abu Dhabi based reputed FIBC bag manufacturing industry looking HSE Officer.

•Nb: Will consider only candidates with 1-2 years of Manufacturing industry experience in Abu Dhabi, UAE. C •onstruction •industry experience will not consider. •

Responsibilities:

• Support the development of OHS & OSHAD policies and programs.
• Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.).
• Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures.
• Develop policies and measures and update according to legislation.
• As per the requirements, initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives.
• Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity.
• Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
• Report and take necessary steps, in case any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
• Maintain premises and arrange proper documents for inspection from legal authorities.
• Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker's compensation claims.
• Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.

Requirements & Skills:

• 2-3 years of proven experience as safety officer. Preferably in manufacturing industry.
• Should be familiar with OSHAD-Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Center- policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices.
• Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety.
• Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
• Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
• Bachelor degree in safety management, engineering or relevant field is preferred.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
