Key responsibilities

Recognize and control occupational hazards, environment impact and interfacing with employees and management. Rectify HSE issues on a day-to-day basis, attend the daily operation meetings and take immediate action for any HSE issues. Support and guide the HSE Committee for daily and monthly activities and inspections. Ensure compliance with relevant authorities by developing and implementing HSE programs, policies and management systems. Ensure all EHS findings & issue under ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 are rectify, closed and effective. (This is including Kerry RSA issue). Guide, promote and communicate safe work performance and act as internal reference by providing necessary training programs to increase safety awareness and knowledge among all employees. Conduct safety induction / TPT / BOS training to new employees, contractors, and visitors. Evaluating and controlling workplace hazards by conducting risk assessment and environmental impact assessment. Ensure the maintenance of all safety equipment such as fire system, calibration of gas detector, SCBA etc. Interpreting standards, advising management on needed actions, enforcing adherence to regulations (e.g. OSHA 1994, EQA and FMA) and Kerry corporate standards (RSA Standard (HE/HPA)). Execute the HSE yearly Action Plan and evaluate the effectiveness. Coordinate the HSE Committee meetings and activities as required by OSHA 1994. Drive and coordinate with emergency Team meeting. Liaise with relevant departments, onsite contractors and government bodies for any EHS issues. Propose internal HSE purchases. Other task as request by superior/Manager related department.

Qualifications and skills

Preferably a Diploma/higher education in Health & Safety or Environmental Sciences. Preferably with 2 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment in either food/pharma background. Proven knowledge in OSHA 1994, EQA 1974 & FMA 1967. Strong project management abilities: ability to manage projects to successful completion. Good Problem solving and leadership skills. A team player who is committed to mentoring and coaching. Hands-on attitude with the ability to identify process improvements. Beware of scams online or from individuals claiming to represent us.
