The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive HSE Officer to join our dynamic team in Fujairah. In this role, you will play a crucial part in promoting a culture of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) excellence across our construction sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing HSE policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with local and international safety regulations, while fostering an environment of continuous improvement. Responsibilities: - Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures. - Develop and deliver HSE training programs to all staff and subcontractors. - Investigate incidents and near misses, providing detailed reports and recommendations for corrective actions. - Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics, preparing regular reports for management. - Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and HSE policies. - Collaborate with project teams to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures. - Promote a culture of safety by engaging with employees and encouraging open communication regarding HSE issues. - Stay updated on local and international HSE regulations and industry best practices.



Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. - Minimum 3 years of experience in a health, safety, and environmental role, preferably within the construction industry. - NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent HSE certification is highly desirable. - Strong knowledge of local and international safety regulations and legislation. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team and independently under pressure. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex safety issues. - Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
