To establish, manage and monitor occupational safety and health standards for all CosmeSurge (CS) units and its administration buildings in Dubai and Northern Emirates. These standards incorporate all processes necessary for the sustaining of the Occupational Safety & Health / Environment, Health and Safety Management (OSH/EHSM) within CosmeSurge and in accordance with the rules and regulations of the emirate of Dubai, Sharjah, RAK, Fujairah, and its OSH mandates, regulated by Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and Ministry of Health (MOH) respectively.
Commitment to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) /Environment Safety and Health, incident reporting and risk management as required and observed
Responsibilities:
Install and maintain safety and security alarms, and processes in the administrative and clinical premises of CS.
Ensure the effective implementation of safety and security management program across the organization.
Respond to alarms and other irregular activities that relates to clinical environment and staff safety.
Regular implementation of updates, monitoring and documentation of status of flammable materials in the clinical and admin areas and smoke / heat detectors.
Inspect all the fire extinguishers on semiannual basis.
Monitoring and auditing of PPM related to all non-medical equipment, and the fire (smoke) and safety system within CS
Check all the first aid boxes and report to Facility Manager/Quality Manager for all the missing and expired contents
Provide assistance and advice on HSE issues to make recommendations to facility management.
Promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors.
Observe HSE regulations, wears all required safety equipment, encourages safe working practices, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports them to the proper personnel
Follow Fall Protection program, inspect all fall protection equipment and maintain inspection records.
Conducts regular trainings on OSH, Fire & Safety, drills, Chemical handling etc.
Monitor irregularities and report to proper authority.
Regular check-up of internal and external environment of CS: yearly risk assessments; Inspection of the Entity and preparing the corrective action plan
Maintain relevant HSE logs and documentation and prepare applicable HSE reports as necessary
Assists department heads and administrators in enforcing safety regulations and codes.
Liaise with government or relevant authorities in conformance with safety and security standards
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering/Fire and Safety Environmental Safety or equivalent to the same or NEBOSH/OSH Practitioner course
Minimum 4 year of experience in a hospital or similar organization
