Key Responsibilities:
• HSE Policy Development and Implementation
• Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HSE regulations.
• Update policies and procedures to reflect changes in laws and regulations.
• Risk Assessments and Safety Audits
• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits on landscaping sites.
• Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
• Document and report findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Training and Education
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees and contractors.
• Ensure all staff are aware of safety procedures and emergency protocols.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings regularly.
• Incident Investigation and Reporting
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation.
• Recommend and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Environmental Management
• Promote environmental sustainability practices within the company.
• Ensure proper waste management and disposal procedures are followed.
• Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
• Emergency Preparedness and Response
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
• Conduct emergency drills and training sessions.
• Coordinate with local emergency services as needed.
• Health and Well-being Initiatives
• Promote health and wellness programs for employees.
• Monitor occupational health hazards and implement preventive measures.
• Continuous Improvement
• Stay up-to-date with the latest HSE best practices and technologies.
• Implement continuous improvement processes for HSE management systems.
• Participate in HSE-related meetings and forums.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably within the landscaping or construction industry in UAE.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• NEBOSH and other certifications in UAE is must.
• Ability to conduct thorough investigations and write detailed reports.
• Proficiency in using HSE management software and tools.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to perform site inspections and work in various outdoor conditions.
• Capable of lifting and carrying safety equipment and materials as needed.
Working Conditions:
• Frequent travel to various landscaping sites.
• May require working outside of regular business hours to address emergencies or conduct training.
