Overview: The HSE MS (Management System) Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves coordinating HSE activities, managing documentation, conducting audits, and supporting the continuous improvement of HSE practices within the organization. The HSE MS Coordinator will work closely with the HSE team, project managers, and site personnel to promote a safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the HSE Management System, ensuring alignment with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other relevant standards.
Coordinate the implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and programs across all project sites and operations.
Manage HSE documentation, including policies, procedures, risk assessments, and training records, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and accessible.
Conduct internal HSE audits and inspections to identify non-conformances and areas for improvement, and track the implementation of corrective actions.
Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the development of corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
Assist in the development and delivery of HSE training programs to raise awareness and ensure compliance with HSE management system requirements.
Monitor HSE performance metrics, including leading and lagging indicators, and report findings to the HSE Manager and senior management.
Coordinate the review and update of HSE management system documentation to reflect changes in regulations, standards, and company procedures.
Work closely with HSE advisors, site supervisors, and project teams to ensure consistent application of the HSE management system.
Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders during audits, inspections, and HSE reviews. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Certifications / Specialization / IT Skills:
Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor are preferred.
Proficiency in HSE management software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Years of Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE coordination, preferably within the oil and gas or construction industry. Technical Knowledge:
HSE Management Systems: Strong understanding of HSE management systems, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OHSAS 18001, with experience in system implementation and maintenance.
Audit and Compliance: Proven experience in conducting internal HSE audits, compliance checks, and implementing corrective actions to maintain regulatory and standard compliance.
