Job Description

The HSE Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure a safe and compliant workplace. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE regulations, risk assessment, and incident prevention, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

- Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.

- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for prevention.

- Provide HSE training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.

- Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including waste management, emissions, and pollution control.

- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate HSE requirements into project planning and execution.

- Maintain accurate records of HSE activities, incidents, and training sessions.

- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve HSE performance.

- Act as the primary point of contact for HSE-related inquiries and regulatory inspections.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) is mandatory. Experience:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in HSE roles within the construction sectors.

- Proven experience in the implementation, management, and documentation of HSE policies and procedures in both industries.

- Experience in conducting risk assessments, site audits, and incident investigations.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and safety standards. Excellent documentation and reporting skills with an ability to prepare detailed and accurate records. Proficiency in HSE software tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. Sound understanding of health and safety legislation in the UAE.

Certifications:

Dubai Driving License OSHA Certificate NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate) or equivalent is essential. Other relevant certifications such as First Aid, Fire Safety are a plus.
