As an HSE Engineer specializing in Buildings, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the health, safety, and environmental standards are met within building construction and maintenance projects. You will be in charge of implementing and enforcing HSE protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental hazards on site. This role involves conducting regular inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering with a focus on health, safety, and environmental practices, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. A proven track record of successfully managing HSE initiatives in building projects is essential.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures and policies for building construction projects.
• Conduct regular on-site inspections to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and standards.
• Identify and assess potential hazards in building construction activities and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide HSE training to construction workers and staff members to increase awareness and promote a culture of safety.
• Investigate accidents or incidents to determine root causes and develop preventive measures.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to integrate HSE requirements into building design and construction processes.
• Review and approve subcontractors' HSE plans and ensure their adherence to project requirements.
• Maintain records and documentation related to HSE activities, including incident reports, inspections, and training sessions.
• Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Stay up-to-date on regulatory changes and industry best practices related to building construction HSE.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Professional certification in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and standards.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Should have atleast 3 years UAE experienceSEND CV
