Job Overview: As an HSE Engineer/QAQC , your primary responsibility is to integrate quality, health, safety, and environmental principles into engineering processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a culture of safety and sustainability. You will collaborate with engineering teams to identify and mitigate potential hazards, implement safety measures, and enhance the quality of works, overall workplace safety and environmental performance.

Key Responsibilities: HSE

HSE Integration in Engineering:

Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate HSE principles into the design, construction, and operation of facilities and processes.

Ensure compliance with relevant HSE regulations, standards, and industry best practices.

Risk Assessment and Management:

Conduct risk assessments for engineering projects to identify potential hazards and assess associated risks.

Work with engineering teams to implement measures that minimize risks and enhance safety.

HSE Design Reviews:

Conduct HSE design reviews to evaluate engineering plans and specifications for potential safety and environmental concerns.

Provide recommendations for modifications to enhance HSE performance.

Incident Investigation Support:

Assist in the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes.

Collaborate with engineering and HSE teams to implement corrective actions.

Regulatory Compliance:

Stay informed about relevant HSE regulations and standards.

Ensure that engineering projects comply with all applicable HSE laws and guidelines.

Emergency Preparedness:

Participate in the development and testing of emergency response plans for engineering projects.

Provide guidance on incorporating HSE considerations into emergency procedures.

HSE Training and Communication:

Develop and deliver HSE training programs for engineering teams.

Communicate HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure understanding and adherence.

Environmental Impact Assessment:

Assess and monitor the environmental impact of engineering projects.

Recommend and implement measures to minimize the organization's environmental footprint.

Responsibilities: QA/QC Engineer

Technically aware of civil and/or structural basics to ensure quality output within the company.

Monitoring quality of works and assess the safety at site including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual / QCS specifications and safety and health risk assessments.

Attending Inspection Requests (IR's) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.

Reviewing submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international best practice.

Reporting any works carried out by contractor found to not be in accordance with approved drawing and specifications and reporting to stakeholders for appropriate action.

Maintaining records for daily activities on site including progress photos and ensuring they are readily available for inspection as and when required.

Preparing surveillance report(s) for deficiencies of work found at site and non-conformance reports (NCR) if required in view of the development of events.

Checking and ensuring effective co-ordination between discipline related works and all other disciplines.

Providing technical input and experiences in resolving any discipline related issues on site that may arise.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Civil.

NEBOSH Certified

Able to certify HSE documents recognized by UAE.

Relevant certification in HSE or a related discipline.

Proven experience in HSE engineering, risk assessment, and safety management.

In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and engineering principles.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Driver's license is a must.
