Job Summary:
The HSE Officer will be responsible for overseeing all health, safety, and environmental aspects of our electrical high voltage cabling projects. This role involves developing and implementing HSE policies, conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and promoting a culture of safety across all project sites.
Key Responsibilities:
• HSE Policy Implementation:
• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure that all HSE policies are communicated effectively to all personnel and stakeholders involved in the projects.
• Risk Assessment and Management:
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard analyses for all project activities, particularly those involving high voltage cabling.
• Implement appropriate risk control measures to mitigate identified hazards.
• Compliance and Monitoring:
• Ensure all project activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Training and Awareness:
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Promote HSE awareness through regular meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
• Incident Management:
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed records of incidents and provide reports to management and regulatory bodies as required.
• Emergency Preparedness:
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans specific to high voltage cabling projects.
• Coordinate emergency drills and ensure all personnel are aware of emergency procedures.
• Environmental Management:
• Monitor environmental impact of project activities and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Implement waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation measures.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in HSE practices and processes.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements related to HSE in high voltage cabling projects.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE roles within the construction or electrical industry, particularly in high voltage cabling projects.
• In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HSE management software.
Working Conditions:
• The role requires regular site visits and inspections, which may involve working in various weather conditions and terrains.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to AED7,000.00 per month
