Job Description

Title: HSE Compliance Specialist Location: United Arab Emirates-United Arab Emirates-Abu Dhabi Office Other Locations: *Description* HSE Compliance Specialist will integrate into overall Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) function. This role involves managing, supervising, and maintaining all aspects related to environmental management and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory, local, federal, and international laws, standards, policies, and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities Environmental Management and Compliance: · Maintain environmental permits and No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from regulatory authorities. · Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations, permit requirements and standards.

Environmental Monitoring and Reporting: · Conduct environmental monitoring and prepare detailed reports. · Perform environmental audits and compile findings into comprehensive reports.

Site Remediation: · Oversee site remediation projects, ensure compliance with standards and report on outcomes of remediation efforts.

Waste Management: · Manage waste disposal, recycling, and conservation programs. Implement strategies to reduce waste and promote sustainability.

Environmental Awareness Campaigns: · Develop and implement campaigns to raise environmental awareness within the company. · Educate employees on best practices for environmental conservation.

Ancillary Permits Acquisition: · Obtain necessary permits for groundwater wells, municipality site plans, and other ancillary activities. · Ensure all ancillary permits are current and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Environmental Management Plans: · Develop and assure the implementation of comprehensive environmental management plans. · Monitor and update plans as necessary to reflect changes in regulations or company operations.

Regulatory Approval Processes: · Provide technical contributions to regulatory approval processes. · Develop Health, Safety, and Environmental Impact Assessments (HSEIAs). · Facilitate revisions to approved HSEIAs to ensure ongoing compliance.

Development of HSE Policy, Standards, Procedures, and Guidelines (PSPGs): · Assist in developing and maintaining HSE PSPGs in compliance with regulatory standards. · Review and update SPGs as necessary.

Emissions Calculations and Reporting: · Maintain records of company emissions resulting from constructional and environmental activities. · Perform calculations and publish reports on emissions data as required. *Qualifications* · Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management or related field. · One (1) to three (3) years' experience. · Strong knowledge of local, federal, and international environmental regulations and standards. · Experience with environmental monitoring, reporting, and auditing. · Strong communication skills for liaising with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders. Excellent organizational and reporting skills.
