Job Summary
As a Human Resources Specialist you will report to the Human Resources Manager. You will play a vital role in supporting the HR department's day-to-day operations and ensuring that our employees have an exceptional experience throughout their employment lifecycle. This position will involve a wide range of responsibilities related to HR functions, including HR policy development and implementation, employee relations, and the coordinate with the PRO on matters regarding employee visas and work permits.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Selection: Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
Create and update job descriptions that accurately reflect the role's requirements and responsibilities.
Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals, to identify and attract qualified candidates.
Coordinate and conduct interviews, both in-person and virtually, to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
Perform comprehensive background checks on selected candidates, including criminal history, education, and employment verification.
Extend employment offers and act as the main point of contact for candidates, answering questions and addressing concerns.
Work closely with HR team to facilitate a smooth transition for new hires, ensuring they have all necessary information and documentation.
Onboard and conduct new hire orientations when required.
HR Policy and Compliance:
Lead the implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with company goals and legal requirements.
Keep abreast of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Participate in audits and compliance reviews as needed.
Employee Relations:
Serve as a primary point of contact for employees to address HR-related questions and concerns.
Assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts, promoting a positive workplace culture.
Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify trends and make improvements.
Benefits Administration:
Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, etc
Assist with benefits inquiries and enrolment.
Visa and Work Permit Processing:
Collaborate with the PRO to facilitate the processing of employee visas and work permits.
Ensure that all documentation and procedures are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration laws and regulations.
Performance Management:
Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
Provide guidance to supervisors and employees on performance-related matters.
Payroll
Prepare staff attendance for payroll purposes. The report should include new joiners, increment, decrement, absence, sick leave, vacation, re-joiners, accommodation adjustments, penalties, staff exits etc.
Coordinate with the accounts for the finalization of the payroll.
Staff Exit
Coordinate with the employees to fill the staff exit form and staff clearance.
Coordinate with the PRO for the calculation of end of service settlement.
Coordinate with the Finance team for the end of service settlement.
Preparation employment certificate if requested by the staff.
HR Metrics and Reporting:
Provide regular reports and insights to HR Manager for data-informed decision-making.
