We are looking for an experienced HR Officer to be a part of our HR Team. The HR Officer will play a vital role in managing various HR functions including Payroll processing, PRO administration and HR operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Position: HR Officer
Roles & Responsibilities:
PRO Administration:
• Facilitates and manage the process of all aspects of government-related documentation & transactions, from submission to cancellation of employees Residency Visa, Work Permits & Labor contract using the ICP and Mohre portals.
• Know how and ability to determine reasons of rejections, suggests applicable solutions and resolve related issues during the process.
• Liaise with various governmental bodies for approvals, permits, and other required authorizations.
• Ensure compliance with all Mohre and Immigration policies, regulations, and procedures.
• Handles the staff visa medical tests, emirates id biometric scanning procedures and schedules.
• Manage the application, submission and cancellations of staff medical insurance and ensure close coordination with health insurance provider.
• Facilitates the registration, submission and cancellation of UAE national staffs to Abu Dhabi Pension Fund and Nafis.
• Assist with other related administrative and PR duties as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of current UAE government procedures and other regulatory requirements.
Payroll Administration:
• Manage the Full Payroll Process, verify and checks all data, and ensuring precise and timely payment of employees.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies in the UAE.
• Check accuracy of information in final payroll report, reconcile and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with HR team to ensure employee data integrity and maintain employee payroll records.
• Checks timesheets, attendance records, and other payroll-related data are accurate.
• Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve payroll efficiency and accuracy.
• Calculate the final dues, settlements and separations pays for leavers in accordance with UAE labor laws and procedures.
• Process and issue employee monthly pay slips, and ensure their distribution to the employees.
• Communicate with employees regarding payroll-related inquiries, issues and deductions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws and regulations related to Compensation & Benefits.
HR Operations:
• Manage day-to-day HR operations including workplace policies, training and developments, performance reviews, KPI's and other HR operational tasks.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee concerns or inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and HR-related matters.
• Assist in resolving workplace conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary issues with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Promote a positive workplace culture by ensuring fair treatment, employee engagement, and recognition initiatives.
• Collaborate with Store Manager, Store Supervisors, Store Personnels and Department Managers to addressed and resolve operational related issues and concerns.
• Assists in developing, implementing and updating HR policies and procedures in line with company objectives and legal requirements.
Qualifications & Experiences:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Strong HR background with atleast 5 years extensive experience in the UAE.
• Wide knowledge of HR processes, procedures and UAE labor laws.
• Previous experience in handling payroll of about 300-500 employees.
• Strong understanding of payroll accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with HR software (e.g., HRIS, Payroll systems) is a plus.
• Excellent in communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees and management.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge in Arabic both read, write and speak is an advantage.
• Previous experience in Retail-Supermarket is a plus.
