Job Description

Position Summary :
The HR Generalist will manage key HR functions for a standalone restaurant in Dubai, with a primary focus on leave management, payroll, visa processing, medical insurance, and various administrative tasks related to employee benefits and compensation. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth HR operations while maintaining compliance with UAE labor laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Leave Management :
• Oversee and manage employee leave requests, ensuring compliance with company policy and UAE labor laws.
• Track and maintain accurate records of annual leave, sick leave, public holidays, and other types of leave.
• Ensure that employees' leave balances are updated and communicated regularly.
• Payroll Management :
• Administer the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate salary processing.
• Manage deductions, overtime, and other payroll-related adjustments.
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure that payroll is compliant with UAE tax laws and regulations.
• HR Orientation :
• Conduct HR orientation sessions for new employees, providing them with key information about the company's policies, benefits, and expectations.
• Ensure all new hires are provided with necessary documentation and a smooth transition into the company.
• Visa Processing & PRO :
• Handle visa applications and work permits for new and existing employees.
• Coordinate with the Public Relations Officer (PRO) to ensure that all visa and labor card processes are completed on time and in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Track and renew visas, labor cards, and Emirates IDs.
• Business Trips/Visa Applications :
• Process visa applications and documentation for employees going on business trips, ensuring all necessary approvals are in place.
• As needed, coordinate travel arrangements, including flight bookings, accommodation, and visa processing for employees on business trips.
• Medical Insurance :
• Administer employee medical insurance policies, ensuring all employees are covered in accordance with company policy and UAE regulations.
• Assist employees with queries related to medical insurance and coordinate claims and renewals.
• Workmen Compensation :
• Manage the workmen compensation process, ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws.
• Assist in filing claims and coordinating with insurance providers for compensation matters.
• Employee Exits :
• Handle the offboarding process, including final settlements, visa cancellations, and exit interviews.
• Ensure a smooth and compliant process for employees exiting the organization.
• Document reasons for resignations or terminations and provide analysis to management for continuous improvement.
• Contract Renewals:
• Monitor employee contract expiry dates and initiate renewal discussions with management and employees.
• Prepare updated contracts, ensuring all terms are compliant with UAE labor laws and company policies.
• Handle related documentation, including contract amendments and approvals.
• BFS & PIC :
• Oversee the processing of BFS and PIC trainings for staff.
• Ensure employees' records are up to date.
• Occupational Health Center (OHC) :
• Coordinate with the Occupational Health Center for employee health check-ups and medical tests required by UAE regulations.
• Ensure that health-related documents and certifications are kept current for all employees.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of HR experience, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
• Strong knowledge of UAE labor laws, visa processing, and payroll systems.
• Proficiency in managing medical insurance, workmen compensation, and other employee benefits.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED5,000.00 per month
