JOB OVERVIEW
To ensure a smooth and efficient operation in the Housekeeping: Thus, directly impacting guest experiences and on providing support for colleagues.
This is a supervisory role that supervises front line cleaners who are responsible in cleaning and maintaining the park's environment at all times thereby facing the guests at all times.
This position oversees the day-to-day operations of delivery of support services for Colleagues in relation to back-of-house areas, where applicable. It handles any concerns that may arise on daily operations and resolves any Cleaners' complaints, if any. As such, position must consistently create a friendly and fair team atmosphere through open communication. Personal performance should always be appropriate and legal and must represent a high level of integrity and ownership. The position is also responsible for monitoring job performance of direct reports through on-time feedback, training and continuous development.
JOB SCOPE
HOUSEKEEPING
Manages a team of Front-Line Cleaners to include there on the job training, daily attendance, grooming, coaching and personal development plans
Schedule, break and if required rotate Cleaners fairly in order to ensure position coverage, increased productivity as well as maintaining Cleaners well-being
Task train Cleaners in the safe operation of equipment and to follow departmental policies and procedures
Coach and discipline Cleaners in a fair and consistent manner in order to motivate and improve performance
Assigns cleaners their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness.
Ensure that all safety rules and procedures are being adhered to at all times
Ensure proper waste collection and recycling
Ensure that policies, procedures and performance standards that are in place in the department are being adhered to
Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies
Issues supplies and equipment to cleaners
Ensure a clean and safe operating environment and raise any defects to their manager's attention
Conduct communication briefings as required
Ensure all departmental checklists are being consistently completed, any required follow-up action is initiated and forms/records are being filed appropriately
Deal with any internal or external customer requests and issues that are beyond the scope of the cleaners
Performs cleaning duties in cases of emergency or staff shortage
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Essential:
High school diploma or equivalent
Desirable:
Completed Task Training and GTT programs
Years of Experience
Essential:
1-2 years operational experience in hospitality industry
Desirable:
At least 1-year work experience in a housekeeping related position in a supervisory role
Skills
Essential:
Good command of English language, both verbal and written.
Good health condition (as manual lifting may be required from time to time)
Desirable:
Familiar with other languages such as Hindi and Urdu.
Knowledge in operating cleaning machines
