Job Overview InterContinental in Oman is seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping staff and ensuring cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms and public areas. Job Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff, including room attendants and janitorial staff Assign duties and tasks to housekeeping staff and ensure adherence to cleaning schedules Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with hotel standards Train and mentor housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques and procedures Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment and place orders as needed Address guest complaints or concerns regarding housekeeping issues promptly and effectively Maintain records of housekeeping activities and report any maintenance issues to appropriate departments Qualifications/Skills Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and customer service skills Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning supervision role preferred Training in hospitality management or related field is an asset Working Environments Indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying temperatures and physical tasks Interaction with guests, colleagues, and external vendors Varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Benefits Competitive salary Health insurance coverage Retirement savings plan Employee discounts on dining and accommodations Opportunities for career advancement and professional development Supportive work environment with a focus on teamwork and excellence Salary Salary will be commensurate with experience.
