POSITION PURPOSE
• The Housekeeping Supervisor assists the Housekeeping Executive/Managers in the daily supervision of the Housekeeping Department according to the hotel's set standard and carries out assignments as directed by the Management in an appropriate manner.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
• Provide a professional and advisory support to the Housekeeping Executive, to assist in meeting the strategic goals of the Housekeeping department.
• Supervise and oversee the day-to-day Housekeeping operation including inspection of guest rooms and public areas.
• Assume responsibilities of Housekeeping Executive in his/ her absence.
• Coach and train all talents in the department, improve their work performance through inspections, corrections of standards and provide direction.
• Ensure hotel and housekeeping regulations and procedures are being followed by all HK associates
• Attend and assist to conduct Housekeeping communication meetings.
• Investigate complaints, take corrective actions and follow through.
• Conduct daily physical inspections of guest rooms, public areas, F&B outlets and offices to ensure prescribed standards of cleanliness.
• Recommend rooms which required being place out of order, coordinating with Engineering, Front office and Butlers to make these rooms available for repair and maintenance work.
• Supervise and monitor the use of all guest supplies, cleaning chemicals, machines and equipment. Follow up on contractors with the maintenance.
• Supervise and schedule inventories for store and supplies items.
• Supervise and requisite for linen, mini-bar, supplies, equipment and furniture.
• Seek continuous process improvements in operations, services and products.
• Constantly seek new cleaning and operational relating technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Prepare cleaning and maintenance schedules for carpet, upholstery, curtains in order to maintain the required high standard of cleanliness for guest rooms and public areas.
• Ensure all operational procedures, as well as Lost and Found procedures are followed through.
• Responsible for training and development of the talents in the department.
• Monitor and review Quality Standards for the Department.
• Monitor guest questionnaires and GEI results to identify shortfalls and remedy service issues.
