As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:

• Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department in a hotel, ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and public areas.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient and timely completion of duties.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and adherence to established standards.
• Train and mentor housekeeping staff, providing guidance on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and customer service.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as front office and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Manage inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock and proper maintenance.
• Handle guest complaints or requests related to housekeeping, resolving issues promptly and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Maintain records and prepare reports on housekeeping operations, including room occupancy, staff productivity, and maintenance needs.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in housekeeping to continually improve efficiency and quality.

Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in housekeeping or hospitality management is a plus.
• Proven experience in a supervisory role in housekeeping, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals used in housekeeping operations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to train and supervise a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in housekeeping operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with other departments and interact with guests.
• Ability to handle guest complaints or requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Proficient in using computer software for inventory management and reporting.
