:Responsible for providing high standards of cleanliness, safe environment in healthcare premises and overall administration of cleaning operations in the area during his/her shift.Responsibilities:
Responsible for the cleanliness of his/her assigned area.
To ensure that the utility and storage rooms in his/ her area is kept neat and tidy at all times.
To ensure that the Housekeeping trolley is arranged and kept ready with the necessary supplies required for the execution of cleaning activities.
To ensure that Mops/Dusters, etc. are clean and well maintained.
To ensure that proper chemicals, proper dilutions, are used to clean the appropriate surfaces and are kept out of harm's way when being used
Distributes laundered articles and linens.
Replaces soiled drapes and cubicle curtains.
Will not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything (information, equipment, plant, personnel, etc.), provided at the workplace in the interest of health, safety, welfare or protection or management of the environment
To ensure that appropriate shift hand-over and take-over occurs at the beginning and end of each shift.
To report any untoward incident/occurrence either to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Branch Manager; to be aware of risks on rounds, within housekeeping, and the clinics environment
To carry out the cleaning orders as assigned by the Supervisor, Infection Control Officer or Branch Manager.
To maintain a good interpersonal relations with senior members and associates alike.
To report any Lost & Found property to the Supervisor or Branch Manager.
To ensures that the assigned tasks are completed within the period of duty.
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of cleaning procedures, handling of equipment and cleaning techniques.
Plays an active role in the standard precautions (PPE, Sharps, Waste Management, Hand Washing, etc.) code of practice.
Informs supervisors when leaving and returning to area of work.
Completes work left from previous shifts and reports all incomplete assignments.
Willing to stay late to finish assigned procedures and responsibilities as and when required.
Demonstrates awareness of importance of quality improvement within the clinic and applies it to daily working routines.
Qualifications:
Secondary level or equivalent training certificate
General knowledge of reading and writing English language
