We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Hotel Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the hotel, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all financial regulations and hotel policies. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. - Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. - Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment of invoices and accurate billing. - Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including journal entries and reconciliations. - Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing insights and recommendations for cost control and revenue enhancement. - Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and tax regulations. - Collaborate with department heads to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to budgetary guidelines. - Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets. - Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with all financial reporting requirements. - Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - CPA certification preferred. - Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry. - Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. - Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
