To greet Guests and handle reservations in accordance with our cycle of service, in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner.
To be fully familiar with every beverage and dish served in the Bar and Restaurant and to provide explanations as requested.

DUTIES:
To greet Guests and identify their specific reservation.
To register Guests, ensuring that the necessary details are obtained, i.e. name in full, address, whether company or private booking, special rate, allowances, VIP, charge details, etc.
To collect guests details for database purposes.
To allocate guests according to reservations list, ensuring that this is what the guest has booked or requested is provided in line with the Cycle of Service.
To seat guests in line with the Cycle of Service.
To implement a guest waiting list upon reaching full capacity.
To liaise with, or alert management of any special allergy or dietary requirements.
To be familiar with all aspects of Group Reservations including, but not limited to, set menus, allergy requirements, birthday parties, special functions, etc.
To operate the phone system and the voicemail system as per guidelines.
To be fully trained and have an in-depth understanding of our reservation system.
To ensure cleanliness of all menus daily.
To ensure that the par levels set for menus and other printed tools are always checked and that the venue does not run out of printed materials.
To ensure cleanliness and correct set up of the reception area.
To update the reservation list daily and liaise with management and kitchen team.
To ensure that all departments, particularly the floor, are notified of V.I.P or particular requests.
To complete and prepare seating allocation and briefing sheet daily.
To update daily the Lost & Found tracking sheet.
To be fully familiar with the composition of all menu items and their allergy risks.
Always be aware of, and practice good customer relations, assisting the guest in any way which does not adversely affect other customers.
To be continually aware of, and maintain, the highest standards of personal hygiene.
To attend meetings and training courses as required.
To take part in any fire or evacuation drills and ensure complete familiarization with all exits, including those normally used by customers, as well as fire escapes.
To report any suspect package left unattended to the manager on duty.
Carry out any other reasonable request asked by the management.
