The Kitchen Administrator (Coordinator) is responsible for managing the administration tasks associated with operating a busy kitchen.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management is preferred.
• Advanced MS Office - word, excel PPT (Mandatory)
• Fluent English; verbal and written communication skills (Mandatory)
• Fluent Arabic; verbal, and written communication skills. (Mandatory)
• A minimum of 3 years' experience working as a coordinator or as an administrative assistant.
• Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards Certifications
• International living and working essential
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Broad knowledge of international cuisines
• Able to create menus, type labels
• Packing of gift items in a creative and professional way
• Maintain documentation in accordance with food safety standards and HACCP
• Able to source obscure items internationally.
• Keep all kitchen administration up to date
• Manage kitchen rosters and staff time off
• Order food or other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation.
• Inspect supplies, equipment, or work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.
• Record keeping - recipe books, guest preferences, and other operational data.
• Collaborate with other staff to plan and develop recipes or menus, considering such factors as seasonal availability of ingredients and produce.
• Work proactively and efficiently on inter-departmental communication within and beyond the F&B division to promote a climate of teamwork and enthusiasm.
• Ensure high standards of tidiness in the Chef's office.
• Monitor and follow through on any requirements of the Family as well as for special dietary requirements.
• Support events when required.
• Attend and participate in all required meetings and training as scheduled.
• Create monthly reports and other reports as required
• Maintain inventories.,
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Kitchen Manager
