An Industrial / Site Nurse, also known as an Occupational Health Nurse, plays a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of employees within an industrial or manufacturing setting. They provide medical care, support, and education to employees, while also implementing various strategies to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses.

Industrial Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide immediate medical care and first aid to employees who sustain injuries or fall ill on the job.
• Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify potential health risks and hazards in the workplace.
• Develop and implement health and safety programs, policies, and procedures to promote a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with management and HR departments to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and standards.
• Offer health education and training programs to employees on topics such as injury prevention, proper ergonomics, and personal protective equipment.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify potential health and safety hazards, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all employees and ensure compliance with privacy laws.
• Coordinate employee wellness programs aimed at promoting physical and mental well-being in the workplace.
• Provide guidance and support to injured or ill employees throughout the return-to-work process, including facilitating accommodations and rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with external healthcare providers and specialists to ensure employees receive appropriate medical care and treatment
