We are seeking an internationally experienced Lead Principal Architect to join our client in Dubai and contribute to the creation of one of the most revolutionary buildings in history, set to become a new global landmark at the heart of a major metropolis.This ambitious project is a mixed-use ecosystem with a strong emphasis on next-generation retail, complemented by residential, hospitality, and leisure components. At its core, it will showcase groundbreaking immersive technology, setting new standards in architectural innovation.The project's scale is immense, comparable to a three-dimensional city, blending diverse typologies into a cohesive whole similar to a large-scale mixed-use precinct.The selected candidate will join an elite, highly skilled team, working closely with their Regional Design Director and collaborating with a prestigious group of global subconsultants dedicated to the project's success.Roles & Responsibilities:

• Serve as the owner, primary contact, and architectural lead for the mixed-use residential complex within the larger development. This includes overseeing four high-rise residential towers integrated with mixed-use, leisure, and retail elements.
• Lead the design of an unconventional group of residential towers, which are part of a broader ecosystem, ensuring they harmonize into a single cohesive building.
• Bring extensive experience in residential target markets, residential planning, and efficiency. While the focus is on architectural design, expertise in residential planning and market analysis will be crucial.
• Engage in a flat hierarchy studio environment, requiring hands-on involvement at all levels. Candidates should be adept at team management, design production, CAD drawing, delivering presentations, and conducting necessary research.
• As a senior role, the position demands deep expertise across all design stages, particularly from the schematic stage onward. Candidates should have a strong track record in leading submission preparations, with in-depth knowledge of international best practices and proven skills in architectural detailing.
• The ability to quickly understand concepts and briefings, working methodically and collaboratively with teams and stakeholders to develop design solutions for evaluation.
• Possess a keen eye for design, drawing, and submission reviews.

Requirements:

• 15+ years of international experience in the architectural design field
• Experience working for world-renowned design-focused firms is a plus
• Professional background centred around architecture practices of international renown
• Design experience of various scales and in various architectural types: residential, retail, hospitality, and leisure
• Extensive project experience with emphasis on large projects and programs
• Understanding of financial and commercial management of projects.
• Full understanding of risk management and ability to transmit the same to others.
• Understanding of scope definition and scope interface and ability to transmit the same to others.
• Full knowledge of international standards & best practice, policies, codes and procedures and ability to transmit the same to others.
• A knowledge and appreciation of Statutory Authorities requirements and international best practice
• Experience working on high-profile, fast paced projects with complex stakeholder and approvals processes

Essential Skills:

• Excellent eye for design
• Fluency in English, spoken and written
• Outstanding presentation skills.
• Excellent Software ability (both for CAD, CAM, graphic prestation)
• Rhino/ Grasshopper are a plus
• Ability to engage in design discussion with a capability to prepare and deliver public/ group presentations, and conduct research on different topics with autonomy
• Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines on budget and on time
• A keen eye for detail resolution and accuracy
• Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative in response to direction from project managers, directors and partners
• A team player, with a flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working and collaborating

Qualifications:

• B.Arch or B.Sc. in Architecture from a recognized elite university
• Postgraduate Studies in Architecture are desirable
• International accreditation (RIBA, AIA, or equivalent)
