As a Higher Education Technologies Advisor , you will collaborate with academic leadership and IT teams to implement cutting-edge technology solutions that align with institutional goals. Your responsibilities include advising on educational technology strategies, integrating systems, and ensuring secure and accessible platforms for students and faculty. You will drive innovation, foster collaboration, and enhance the overall academic experience through technology.

Job Responsibilities

• Advise on the integration and use of educational technologies, including LMS, SIS, and e-learning tools.
• Develop technology strategies to support digital transformation in teaching, learning, and administration.
• Utilize analytics tools to provide insights into student success and retention strategies.
• Guide the deployment and management of cloud-based platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and implement robust cybersecurity measures.
• Train and support faculty and staff in adopting and leveraging new technologies.
• Oversee technology-related projects, including vendor selection, implementation, and budget management.
• Promote accessibility and inclusive design in educational platforms.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies such as AI, VR, and blockchain, and advise on their potential in education.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technology initiatives with institutional goals.

Skills

Essential Skills:

• Expertise in LMS platforms (e.g., Blackboard, Moodle, Canvas) and SIS systems (e.g., Ellucian).
• Proficiency in data analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity and data privacy regulations (e.g., FERPA, GDPR).
• Experience in faculty and staff training for technology adoption.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, Section 508).

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of emerging technologies like AI, VR, and blockchain in education.
• Experience with student success platforms (e.g., Civitas Learning, Starfish).
• Project management expertise, including Agile methodologies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
