Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated hardworking individual to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for assisting the mechanic's department with any appropriate duties. To succeed in this role, you should be physically and mentally fit. Our ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and a focus on increasing efficiency and accountability. It is equally important that they be willing and able to learn new skills and knowledge within the Road Department. Duties include parts running as directed by the mechanics, and general labor within the shop.

Mechanical Helper Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Assists mechanic in repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment.

Carry tools and equipment to and from storage and work areas

Assist in keeping work area clean

Oil and grease machines

Clean machine with Steam Jenny, solvent, and wiping rags to prepare for repairs

Mechanical Helper Skills and Qualification:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Punctual, dependable

Able to work in a team and produce quality work under tight deadlines

Strong communication skills

Initiative and strong analytical skills

Diligence, prioritization skill, and time management

Adaptive learner with a positive attitude
