Please note this position will be in desert and it will be on a 2 weeks work, 2 weeks off basis
To inspect heavy plant and machineries to assure the working condition and maintenance are in line with the requirements, and in compliance to our standards. To share global best practices to further enhance heavy plant and machineries safety within our operations.
. Perform heavy plant and machineries of our contractors and subcontractors in a safe manner in compliance with all local regulations and company policies.
. Ensure all heavy plant and machineries are safe and in good working order as per the requirements.
. Review and verify operators' documents related to competence.
. Maintain a comprehensive database of machineries inspected, including details of any identified defects, for reference and future monitoring.
. Recommend safety adjustments, repairs, and component replacements to heavy plant and equipment.
. Professional interaction with internal and external customers
. Conduct analysis on the overall status of heavy plant and equipment operating in our area.
. Coordinate with contractors and sub-contractors to improve their plant and machineries safety through advice, guidance, and knowledge sharing.
. Develop a yearly plan to inspect all heavy plant and machineries.
. Support our team as and when required.
. Inspect and/or overhaul plant and machineries support systems, such as inspection procedures, check lists etc.
. Develop and mentor staff to upskill in heavy plant and equipment knowledge and inspection process.
. Complete weekly and monthly reports on all activities
. To attend training sessions and meetings as required
. Any other duties as requested by Contract Manager or Contract Holder
Requirements
. Fully trained Heavy plant and equipment mechanic qualification/ Technical diploma with relevant technical qualifications and 5 years' experience/ or highly skilled certified operator or instructor with at least 5 years' experience on 5 pieces of equipment as listed below.
. Good IT proficiency and ability to pick up new systems.
. Highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
. Good organisational and communication skills.
. A good understanding of the challenges of working in the field.
. Membership of a relevant professional body is desirable.
. Good working knowledge of international heavy plant and equipment testing standards.
. Good knowledge of SP 2000 and other relevant our procedures requirements
Experience Required:
. Minimum 5 years' proven experience as a senior heavy plant and machineries mechanic
. Minimum 5 years' proven experience as a skilled operator covering at least 5 different pieces of equipment as listed below.
. Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, both verbally and written
. Strong leadership skills
. Ability to speak English language at the required level or as approved by the Contract Holder
. Proven skills in planning, conducting, and coordinating simultaneous activities of administration, logistics and human resource management.
. Highly developed presentation skills
Desirable:
. Technical diploma focusing on heavy plant and machineries.
. Any Technical certification related to plants and heavy equipment is desirable.
. Operation permit or license related to plants and heavy equipment is desirable.
Please note no experience in lift of lifting equipment required.
