Key Responsibilities:
• Electrical Installation :
• Install electrical wiring, control systems, and power supply for tower cranes, ensuring they meet safety and technical standards.
• Set up electrical components, including motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers, and sensors.
• Maintenance and Inspections :
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems, including checking wiring, replacing damaged cables, and ensuring electrical components are functioning properly.
• Inspect electrical systems for wear, corrosion, or damage, and conduct preventive maintenance to avoid downtime.
• Troubleshooting and Repair :
• Diagnose electrical faults or malfunctions in the crane's control systems, motors, and other electrical components.
• Repair or replace defective components such as relays, circuit breakers, cables, or power supplies.
• Test electrical systems after repairs to ensure proper functionality.
• Safety and Compliance :
• Follow safety protocols and industry regulations while working with electrical systems and equipment.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with local and international safety standards, including certifications and inspections.
• Conduct safety checks and tests to ensure electrical systems are operating correctly and safely.
• System Upgrades and Modifications :
• Perform electrical system upgrades, including installing new control panels, sensors, or safety systems to enhance crane performance and safety.
• Collaborate with mechanical teams for upgrades or modifications that require electrical adjustments.
• Documentation and Reporting :
• Maintain detailed records of all electrical maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
• Report any recurring electrical problems or safety concerns to the management team.
• Collaboration :
• Work closely with crane operators, mechanical engineers, and other team members to ensure that electrical systems integrate properly with mechanical systems.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to operators and other workers regarding the electrical operation of the crane.
• Emergency Repairs :
• Respond quickly to electrical malfunctions or emergencies, ensuring that repairs are done promptly to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems during operational breakdowns to restore crane functionality.
Preferred qualifications
Minimum 2-3 years of experience working as Tower Crane Electrician within in UAE, or any GCC countries.
Preferably High school degree or any related professional qualification in a similar field.
