:Assist in the Front office and Phlebotomist delivery of patient care as directed by the Lab Manager/Lab Supervisor. Contribute to the general environment of the hospital and the well-being of the patient, families, and team members as a member of the Laboratory team.Responsibilities:
Assist Phlebotomist/Front Office Staff with non-medical patient-related care as directed by and under the supervision of the Lab Supervisor/Section-In-Charges on duty.
Respond quickly to patients or their families\' requests for assistance, prioritizing patient safety and satisfaction.
Attend to patients if any assistance is needed.
Receive non-clinical responsibilities each shift from the Lab Supervisor/Section-In-Charges on duty.
Assist the Front Office/Phlebotomist with patient-related queries.
Know the hospital\'s approved disinfectants and their indications for usage in the department.
Comply with patient confidentiality as per the hospital\'s policy.
Escort stable patients by wheelchair or assist the Phlebotomist with bed transport patients.
Participate as a valued team member in scheduled educational activities, promoting and contributing to a supportive team environment.
Comply with all OSH and infection control policies, standards, and procedures, and cooperate with hospital management to meet these requirements.
Work in accordance with documented OSH procedures and instructions, including specific responsibilities.
Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.
Be aware of patient safety goals applicable to daily activities.
Notify nurses of OSH hazards, incidents, near misses, or any concerns.
Comply with waste management and transmission-based precautions policies and procedures.
Collaborate with the Front Office/Phlebotomist to complete departmental inventories.
Attend applicable OSH/infection control training programs, mock drills, and awareness programs.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Lab Supervisor or Section-In-Charges on duty.
Qualifications:
Two years of college or equivalent; certificate.
Average command of oral and written English; spoken Arabic advantageous.
Demonstrates motivation to work in a healthcare environment.
