Duties and responsibilities:
\xef\x82\xb7 Knowledge on unit layout, number of patients, types of patients and their requirements.
\xef\x82\xb7 Recognize the complications and handle emergencies during the course of treatment.
\xef\x82\xb7 Assist RN in providing nursing care to all patients
\xef\x82\xb7 Provide personal hygiene to the patient.
\xef\x82\xb7 Assist RN in the nutritional and elimination needs of the patient.
\xef\x82\xb7 Assist RN in proper positioning and back care every second hourly for all bed ridden patients
\xef\x82\xb7 Assist RN in the ambulatory care patients according to their needs.
\xef\x82\xb7 Accurate and proper report to the Team Leader/ Head Nurse/ Supervisor
\xef\x82\xb7 Actively participate in the disaster management process (Identified Codes) in the hospital.
\xef\x82\xb7 Follow strict infection control practices.
\xef\x82\xb7 Timely dispatch of various samples.
\xef\x82\xb7 Ensure safety, comfort, confidentiality and privacy of the patients.
\xef\x82\xb7 Provide patient and family education on room orientation.
\xef\x82\xb7 Explain patient rights and responsibilities
\xef\x82\xb7 Ensure proper cleaning and disinfection of the equipment.
\xef\x82\xb7 Ensure availability, working condition and effective use of equipment in the unit.
\xef\x82\xb7 Escort patients to and from various departments.
\xef\x82\xb7 Take proper care of patient\'s belongings.
\xef\x82\xb7 Ensure neat, clean and noise free environment to the patient and family.
\xef\x82\xb7 Report any untoward incident immediately to Head nurse/ Supervisor or on duty supervisor and submit the written statement in the same shift.
\xef\x82\xb7 Immediately report any safety and security issues at the work place to the concerned Head of the department/ Supervisor.
\xef\x82\xb7 Maintain all records and reports in the unit.
