Time Type: Full TimeLocation: DubaiReporting Line:Report to: Manager, QHSEDetailed Responsibilities:\xc2\xb7 Implementation of the HSSE standards and guidelines in the business unit / warehouse.
\xc2\xb7 Carry out worksite inspections and HSSE training & emergency response drill.
\xc2\xb7 Provide HSE induction training to new employees, foreign colleagues & visitors.
\xc2\xb7Responsibility to ensure that corrective actions resulting from accidents / near misses, audits, inspections & risk assessments are implemented.
\xc2\xb7Collect inputs through consultation and participation from the staff to improve the health, safety & environmental performance through the behavioral safety programme.
\xc2\xb7 For the roll-out of HSSE awareness campaigns / safety & sustainable action week and communication to employees.
\xc2\xb7 To keep HSSE notice boards updated.
\xc2\xb7 Oversee local permit to work program for employees and vendors / subcontractors.
\xc2\xb7 Participate in regular HSSE Officer calls.
\xc2\xb7 Ensure legislation compliance evaluations are completed at least annually.
\xc2\xb7 To support customer and its audits & inspections.Support
\xc2\xb7Risk assessments / environmental aspects & impacts and monitor progress of measures to mitigate risks and control environmental exposure to a tolerable level and report it to the business unit manager.
\xc2\xb7 Support ERP review and BCP walkthroughs.
\xc2\xb7 Accident and near miss investigations.
\xc2\xb7 Collection of HSE statistics on a regular basis and report to the SSC.
\xc2\xb7 Assist the BU manager in selecting first aiders, fire wardens; and ensure certifications are current & first aid kits replenished.
\xc2\xb7 Liaise with warehouse management / EPS (where applicable) to ensure PPE register is maintained
\xc2\xb7 Liaise with warehouse / facility management to ensure equipment register is up-to date.\xc2\xb7 Liaise with warehouse / facility management to ensure licenses of recycling contractors, electricians and HVAC technicians are obtained.
\xc2\xb7 Facilitate HSSE committee meetings, where applicable.Decision Making Authority\xc2\xb7 Stop any work where in your opinion it would be deemed unsafe to proceed in co-operation with local management.
