As a Health Information Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the capture, storage, and analysis of medical data to ensure accurate and efficient healthcare delivery. Supervise the collection, organization, and management of health information, including patient records, medical reports, and administrative data.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for the use and disclosure of health information in compliance with legal requirements.
Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of health information through regular audits and quality control measures.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to streamline documentation processes and improve the accuracy and timeliness of medical coding and billing.
Train and oversee a team of health information technicians and data entry professionals, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day tasks.
Monitor and analyze healthcare data to identify trends, streamline operations, and improve patient care.
Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices related to health information management and make recommendations for process improvements.
Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree in Health Information Management or a related field.
Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) certification preferred.
Proven experience working in health information management, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
Excellent knowledge of healthcare standards, regulations, and best practices, such as HIPAA and ICD-10 coding.
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, data analysis tools, and health information management software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
