Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures. Identify unsafe conditions, practices, and hazards.
• Assist the HSE Engineer in conducting risk assessments and hazard identification, ensuring all high-risk activities are adequately controlled.
• Report accidents, incidents, and near misses. Assist the HSE Engineer in investigating causes, preparing reports, and suggesting corrective actions.
• Ensure all employees and contractors are complying with safety regulations and using the necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Enforce safety standards consistently.
• Conduct safety inductions for new employees and contractors. Provide ongoing safety training on specific site risks, tool handling, equipment usage, and emergency procedures.
• Actively participate in emergency drills and ensure the emergency response procedures are followed correctly. Assist in maintaining first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and other safety equipment.
• Ensure that all machinery, equipment, and tools are safe to use and that any damaged or faulty items are reported and taken out of service until repaired.
• Work closely with the HSE Engineer, project managers, and site supervisors to ensure that safety measures are integrated into the daily work routine.
• Ensure that all employees and contractors have access to proper PPE and that it is in good working condition. Regularly check inventory and request replenishments as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of daily safety inspections, incident reports, and safety training. Submit reports to the HSE Engineer for further analysis.

Qualifications & Skills :

• Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA certification, or any equivalent safety-related certification.
• 4-8 years of experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally in construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
• Familiar with local UAE safety regulations and international standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001). Strong knowledge of risk management and hazard control.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
