Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our team. As a Health and Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, as well as compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations. You will play a crucial role in promoting a culture of safety and implementing effective safety procedures and policies. - Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to minimize risks and create a safe work environment.
- Provide training to employees on health and safety policies and procedures, including emergency response procedures.
- Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training sessions.
- Collaborate with management and department heads to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with new regulations and industry best practices to proactively address safety concerns.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer or a similar role.
- Sound knowledge of OSHA and other relevant health and safety regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for identifying safety hazards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for conducting training and investigations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in MS Office suite and other safety management software.
