Responsibilities
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Health and Safety Engineer to join our award-winning team based in Jeddah, KSA.
This position will be responsible for ensuring that all cleaning and waste management projects in Jeddah Governorate adhere to the highest safety standards. This role will focus on assessing risks, developing safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with project teams to minimize accidents, ensure safe working conditions, and promote a culture of safety awareness.
We envisage success in this role to include: Developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures for cleaning and waste management projects. Conducting regular safety audits and inspections of project sites to identify and mitigate hazards. Providing training and safety awareness sessions for staff and contractors involved in the projects. Ensuring compliance with local health and safety regulations, as well as industry standards. Investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses, and developing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Preparing detailed reports on safety performance and recommending improvements to management. Coordinating with project managers to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution. Promoting a strong safety culture within the organization, encouraging safe work practices at all levels. Qualifications To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 3+ years of experience in health and safety roles, preferably in public infrastructure or environmental projects, partnered with a Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or a related field. Furthermore, you should demonstrate: Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices, particularly in Saudi Arabia. Certification in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is highly preferred. Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic. Saudi nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
