We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Salads and Sandwiches to join our culinary team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in the preparation and presentation of salads and sandwiches. This role requires a creative individual who can develop new menu items, train and manage staff, and oversee the production process to ensure the highest quality standards are met. Key Responsibilities:Menu Development:
Innovate and create new salads and sandwiches for the menu, keeping up with current food trends and customer preferences.
Regularly update and refine existing menu items to maintain variety and interest.
Production Management:
Oversee the daily preparation and production of salads and sandwiches in the Dubai kitchen and occasionally in the RAK central kitchen.
Ensure consistency in quality, presentation, and taste across all items produced.
Staff Training and Management:
Train kitchen staff on proper preparation techniques, presentation, and hygiene standards.
Delegate tasks effectively to ensure efficient workflow and high productivity.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff for improvement.
Quality Control:
Maintain the highest standards of food safety and sanitation in compliance with local regulations.
Conduct regular quality checks to ensure all dishes meet our stringent quality criteria.
Operational Efficiency:
Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure the kitchen operates smoothly.
Collaborate with the procurement team to source high-quality ingredients at the best possible prices.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure a cohesive kitchen environment.
Coordinate with the management team for menu planning, special events, and promotions.
Travel:
Travel to the RAK central kitchen as required by management to oversee production and ensure consistency between locations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen or hospitality environment.
Proven ability to create innovative and appealing menu items.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and motivate staff.
Excellent organizational and delegation skills to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Flexibility to travel to RAK central kitchen as needed.
Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
