Today, Aldar Education\'s efforts are guided by the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030 plan, which aims to build a sustainable knowledge-based economy through premium education.The Head - People & Culture performs a variety of complex human resources duties on a professional level, partnering closely with other HQ senior P&C Management and various managers across a cluster of schools, in supporting HR processes and department-specific strategies.The Head - People & Culture leads workstreams in the following functional areas: attraction, retention, development, performance, reward, and operational excellence.The incumbent will continuously strive to exceed internal & external customer expectations, while embracing the Aldar Education core values.Responsibilities:Main Duties
  • Functions collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, agile team and is an active participant in developing team goals, objectives and systems
  • As part of the Senior P&C HQ Team provides guidance and support to an Aldar Education cluster schools\' leadership and management in human resources schools operation and improvement
  • Provides support with regards to employee relations issues and offers advice, guidance and interpretation of HR policies and procedures; communicates and implements new policy changes as required
  • Responsible for the efficient and effective performance of the People and Culture functions within the schools
Specific Duties
  • Supports Principals and School leadership teams with manpower planning and monitoring, staffing and CTC budgets, workforce profile models, report generation and updates
  • Administer and oversee a group a group of schools\' recruitment and staffing plans and in accordance with the approved budget
  • Oversees compliance with government regulatory authorities\' guidelines, and P&C related KPIs
  • Reviews the P&C policies and procedures and recommends and implements changes to continuously improve the efficiency of P&C services in the schools
  • Guides Principals and HROs on escalated P&C related matters if required, including complex case management and labour cases. Acts as Chair of investigation and other relevant committees or panels for such cases as required
  • Leads the Wellbeing agenda for schools, within Aldar Education strategies and policies
  • Leads the GPTW surveys, certification and action planning together with Schools leadership
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of employment legal requirements related to management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Represents P&C in official meetings, workshops and seminars related to P&C related matters
  • Ensures that the P&C schools team maintains and updates records and reports on key people data including terminations, classification changes, promotions, salary and benefits adjustments, etc., ensuring internal processes and good governance is maintained
  • In conjunction with HQ Rewards Team provides consultation on salary and benefits administration and recommend appropriate actions
  • Oversees the roll-out of Talent Management and development related activities and workstreams for schools, with strategic guidance from Aldar Education Talent Team
  • Act as P&C Lead for the contract intention and renewals process across the schools, ensuring school Leaders and HROs are supported and guided through correct company policy and process
  • Participates in Aldar Education group-wide Talent Acquisition initiatives including UAE National job fairs, Teacher recruitment fairs and other activities as and when required
  • Participates in and leads P&C workshops for HROs, School Leaders and other staff as required on P&C related matters
  • Prepares and analyses quarterly reporting on turnover, employee exit data, and other HR metrics. Presents solutions or recommendations to leadership as appropriate
  • Responsible for the monitoring and achievement, with School Leaders and HROs, for the Aldar Education Emiratization and Internship initiatives for UAE Nationals
  • Works closely with Government Relations to ensure school group cluster are compliant with all relevant regulatory requirements
  • Supports in developing, maintaining, verifying and communicating organizational structures for the schools
  • Sets up measurable KPIs for the HROs as part of Performance Enablement in conjunction with P&C HQ Leadership Team
  • Overlooks the actual P&C Budget spent of the respective CS group
  • Plans the P&C process and documentation audit for respective group of schools and highlights concerns and corrective action requirements
  • Performs other duties/tasks as assigned and if required
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • Recognized Human Resources accreditation (SHRM, CIPD) is preferrable
Minimum Experience
  • Minimum 5 years\' experience as a Senior Generalist, HR Business Partner, or 7 years as an HR Generalist
  • Education industry experience is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of Management experience in leading Human Resources operations including leading and coaching direct and non-direct reports
  • Experience in a matrix-organisation
  • Strong understanding of the UAE culture
  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills essential, Arabic of added advantage
Job Specific Knowledge & Skills
  • Organizational development, people and leadership development, compensation, benefits, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of employment laws, labor relations
  • Deep knowledge in ADEK Educational regulatory requirements in schools\' management is preferrable
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of discretion, diplomacy and confidentiality
  • Ability to maintain composure and handle multiple conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Experience working on and with human resource systems, applicant tracking systems, and learning and development systems such as Oracle, HR.net, Taleo, Cornerstone etc
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in situations involving the evaluation of information against sensory, judgmental, or subjective criteria, as opposed to that which is clearly measurable or verifiable
  • Work in a highly collaborative and effective manner, both independently and in cross-functional teams
  • Proven influencing skills with employees and stakeholders at all levels
  • Possess flexibility and has a history of delivering results in a changing and highly ambiguous work environment
  • Proven experience and success working on high impact, cross-functional programs or projects, with a strong sense of urgency and commitment
  • Strong research & analysis skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, along with customer service and team orientation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work effectively and manage a varied workload
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
