The Head of Technical, GCC role will lead and oversee the Specification Team, Training & Installation Team, and the Technical Competence Center across the GCC cluster. This role focuses on driving technical excellence, improving processes and efficiencies, and ensuring customer-centric solutions. The Manager will play a key role in positioning Knauf as a leader in innovation, quality, and service in the building materials industry across GCC markets.
What you'll be doing:
Technical Leadership
• Define and execute the technical services strategy and plans, to align with Knauf 100 strategic goals.
• Drive the technical facelift of the organization, ensuring innovative, cutting-edge practices.
• Actively contribute to positioning Knauf GCC as a leader in technical excellence within the industry.
Process Improvement & Efficiencies
• Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiencies across the technical teams.
• Streamline workflows in specification, training, and installation to reduce lead times and increase quality output.
• Implement best practices to ensure consistent and reliable delivery of technical services.
Customer-Centric Solutions
• Establish and nurture a customer-first mindset within all technical teams.
• Develop tailored solutions to meet customer needs while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Regularly gather feedback to refine technical services and exceed customer expectations.
Specification
• Lead the Specification team to drive the inclusion of Knauf products and systems in projects by collaborating with architects, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure solutions meet regional and international standards, enhancing Knauf's specification dominance.
• Partner with sales teams to integrate technical expertise into project acquisition strategies.
Training & Installation
• Lead the development of robust training programs for contractors, applicators, and clients to promote Knauf systems.
• Ensure quality installation standards by providing technical guidance and support during execution phases.
• Conduct regular on-site evaluations and provide technical solutions to address challenges.
Technical Competence Center Management
• Oversee the Technical Competence Center to function as a hub for innovation, testing, and technical advancements.
• Lead the creation of updated technical resources, manuals, and documentation for internal and external use.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry standards, and regulatory changes to maintain a competitive edge.
Stakeholder Collaboration
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams as a trusted technical partner.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and R&D to align technical strategies with overall business objectives.
• Represent Knauf in key technical events, seminars, and exhibitions.
What we'd love for you to have:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in technical department, and 5 years in a managerial position, preferably in the building materials industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in driving process improvement and operational efficiencies.
• Proven success in leading customer-focused technical strategies.
• Strong knowledge of drywall systems, construction standards, and GCC building regulations.
• Excellent ability to translate vision into actionable results.
• Superior leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in project management and technical documentation.
• Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
