Job Title: Head of Survey (UAE Experience Required)

Job Summary: The Head of Survey will lead the surveying division, ensuring the execution of accurate, high-quality surveys and data collection for a wide range of projects. This leadership role requires significant technical expertise in land surveying, along with proven experience in managing teams, implementing survey standards, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations in the UAE. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating all survey activities, managing resources, and ensuring alignment with project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of surveyors to ensure the effective execution of all surveying tasks.
• Develop and implement surveying strategies, methodologies, and processes to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and safety of surveying operations.
• Oversee all land, topographic, boundary, and engineering surveys for infrastructure, construction, and development projects.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and laws governing surveying practices in the UAE.
• Review and approve survey reports, drawings, and calculations to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to integrate survey data into project plans and designs.
• Manage the selection, maintenance, and calibration of surveying equipment and technologies.
• Develop and manage the surveying department's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high standards.
• Provide leadership in the development and implementation of survey standards and procedures to achieve continuous improvement.
• Monitor the performance of survey teams and provide feedback and training as necessary.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to address survey-related issues and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Stay current on emerging survey technologies and best practices and implement them when appropriate.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in land surveying, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• In-depth knowledge of survey techniques, equipment, and software used in the UAE market.
• Familiarity with UAE-specific surveying regulations, legal frameworks, and construction codes.
• Proven experience managing surveying teams and large-scale projects.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and teams.
• Proficiency in survey software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS, or similar tools).
• UAE experience is a must, with knowledge of local surveying practices and standards.
