Job Opportunity for Head of Section- Suppliers & Stores.

Job Summary:

Supervising the section\'s daily activities and operations, as well as the distribution of work within the section, and ensuring the efficient and effective provision and execution of services with the goal of controlling and organizing the processes of managing customer relationships, recording them, and evaluating their performance. In addition to the several follow-up and documentation operations, as well as the tasks to be performed in compliance with the professional standards and legislation in effect at Abu Dhabi Media Company.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that the unit\'s resources (human, financial, technology, assets, etc.) are used optimally by managing and organizing them in a timely, efficient, and effective manner in order to meet the department\'s objectives.
  • Guidance on how to ensure appropriate stock is available in accordance with the minimum acceptable stock of materials.
  • When the defined minimum is reached, notify the relevant departments and direct the team to take the necessary actions.
  • Reviewing reports analyzing changes in production quantities, purchasing strategies, and providing suggestions on any necessary system adjustment.
  • Developing the organizational unit strategy, reviewing and monitoring its performance continuously, and guiding subordinates in key decision situations and critical issues.
  • Preparing and submitting strategic and operational work plans and annual estimated budgets for the organizational unit and following up the implementation of approved plans and budgets, as well as any decisions made by senior management.
  • Supervising the annual performance evaluation of employees, following up on their job performance periodically and providing the necessary support to help them achieve their goals and accomplish the tasks assigned to them.
  • Ensure compliance with the correct application of standards, policies and procedures approved for management and the company in general, and work to meet its needs.
Education & Skills:
  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Accounting or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience.
  • Understanding of the company\'s established procurement policies.
  • Knowledge of the internal bidding mechanism.
  • Familiarity with the procedures of supplier contracting.

  • Good negotiation skills with suppliers.
  • Familiarity with computers.
  • Awareness of relevant health, safety, and environmental systems.
