What you'll be doing: Ensuring that a robust system is established covering personnel safety, aircraft safety and Continuing Airworthiness Responsible for the Leadership and Management of the Typhoon Qatar Safety Compliance and Assurance (SC&A) Team at QAF Dukhan Responsible for the delivery of all aspects of the SC&A service to ensure the contracted availability of the Typhoon Aircraft Leadership and close stakeholder management of the customer at senior levels Acting as the principal point of contact with the QAF Regulator, e.g., the Qatari Military Aviation Authority (QMAA) and be the SME for all regulatory compliance issues relevant to Safety, Compliance and Assurance Establishing and maintaining a governance framework (Regulate, Educate, Oversight, Enforce) for the Qatar business area and to ensure there is a robust governance management structure, with competent personnel within that governance structure, to discharge appropriate oversight and reporting of regulatory requirement compliance Ensuring the management of Expositions and associated procedures to meet Regulatory requirements Engaging with Regulatory Bodies, Authorities and Industry groups in order to ensure that appropriate representation is made with regard to proposed legislative, regulatory and requirement changes Your skills and experiences: Essential: Substantial experience as an operational manager within a Maintenance & Support environment, including significant direct experience of supporting Regulatory activities, including definition, development, delivery and management Recent extensive experience as a Lead in regulation or a related discipline such as Maintenance Tasking, Reliability Programme Management or Maintenance Programme Development Experience of establishing and maintaining a governance framework (Regulate, Educate, Oversight, Enforce) with competent personnel within that governance structure, to discharge appropriate oversight and reporting of regulatory requirement compliance Desirable: Credible experience in managing SMSs, QMSs and an in depth knowledge of both regulatory processes and internal safety, governance and compliance processes Previous defence or military background would be advantageous in this role Benefits: You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
