The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Head of Research to lead Middle East research function. The ideal candidate will be able to strengthen Savills current research offering in the region. The right candidate is expected to assume responsibility as the trusted point of contact in the business for all data/insight requests and lead any contributions to pitches and tenders, client presentations, and media requests. As and when it is required, the candidate will step up as a spokesperson for the business across different media platforms. Key Responsibilities
Develop and periodically enhance Savills data collection and analysis programme.
Develop and lead all regular market reports, in a style that is concise, coherent, and creative.
Undertake market analysis and deliver thought leadership papers.
Contribute to fee-earning projects, when required.
Develop and deliver a range of presentations on the property market for internal and external audiences, whilst also supporting the development of presentations for senior management.
Actively contribute and assume broader responsibilities within the global business.
Work with the marketing team to use data to produce and deliver bulletins, presentations, seminars, workshops, and social media content.
Work closely with the IT/Data team to develop and maintain the proprietary data platforms.
Build detailed knowledge of principles and practices of related disciplines.
Identifying speaking opportunities for the promotion of Savills in-house expertise.
Attend external networking events, keep abreast of market developments, and share these regularly with the business as required.
Showcase an advanced knowledge of relevant software packages.
Evaluate, adapt, and improve standards, techniques, and procedures.
Contribute to wider projects as required.
Lead the development, management, and implementation of the client engagement programme through the arrangement of regular meetings/discussions, and presentations.
Provide responsive and high-quality support to both internal and external clients.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a real estate business environment, with relevant exposure to the regional property markets. Candidates with limited local market exposure may be considered.
Highlight proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and data management and analysis platforms.
Highly numerate and able to obtain, analyse, interrogate, and interpret real estate and socio-economic data.
Understanding of third-party datasets, with a keen willingness to learn and develop a deeper understanding of the creation and maintenance of online database platforms.
Experience in content generation and working with PR/marketing team.
Diplomatic and confident in presentation delivery and media interactions.
Exceptional communication skills in English.
Ability to work on own initiative and have a proactive, positive approach.
Team player and willing to learn.
Attention to detail.
Knowledge of the Arabic language is a plus, but not essential.
