We are hiring a HEAD OF PROJECTS for our client in FUJAIRAH, who will oversee, manage, and deliver projects by planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and successfully closing them within budgeted timelines and costs.Key Responsibilities
Develop departmental objectives and KPIs, monitor operating results, and implement measures to achieve goals, reduce risk, and make informed decisions.
Prepare the department's annual budget and control costs within approved limits.
Establish and maintain departmental policies and processes in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Develop and implement Integrated Management System (IMS) policies and procedures.
Ensure business continuity by identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Participate in incident investigations and crisis preparedness meetings, updating crisis response plans as required.
Review reports submitted by subordinates, including maintenance preventative plan reports.
Ensure the timely execution and completion of projects within defined scope and budget.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project safety and quality.
Manage and coach a team of project managers and engineers for successful project delivery.
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to align projects with business objectives.
Manage and maintain project budgets and schedules.
Develop and review project-related documentation.
Conduct stakeholder meetings to track project progress and maintain status updates.
Oversee project handovers and ensure timely release of payment certificates.
Handle project inquiries by reviewing documents and conducting site visits as required.
Develop and implement tracking systems to monitor project progress.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities for seamless project execution.
Review project progress reports and present updates to management, highlighting deviations.
Evaluate tender quotations and provide recommendations.
Continuously improve project management processes and outcomes.
Lead, coach, and manage team performance, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Project Management, Risk Management, and overseeing construction and commissioning activities.
Proven experience leading and managing diverse teams.
Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) is a must.
Knowledge of occupational safety standards (OSHP certification preferred).
Proficiency in project management tools such as AutoCAD, Primavera, and IMS systems.
Strong business and financial acumen.
