Job Description

We are seeking for a highly skilled and strategic Head of Projects to lead our technology vision, strategy and execution for our business. This role requires a hands-on leader with 7-10 years of experience, preferably within the UAE market (GCC experience will also be considered). The Head of Projects will be responsible for overseeing IT infrastructure, software development, AI-driven mobility solutions, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.

Role Overview

As Head of Projects, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end IT projects ensuring smooth operations, security, and scalability of our digital platforms, and customer applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and problem-solving skills via use of technology, strong expertise in mobile app, frontend and backend app development, and a proven track record of managing across platforms.

This role will oversee all technical operations, product development and team management while ensuring seamless integration across multi-country projects at scale. Lead teams in software engineering, AI integration, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity to drive operational efficiency and enhance user experience.

What You'll Do

Tech Strategy and Leadership

Define and implement the technology roadmap across platforms. Ensure high scalability, and security of the platforms. Implement best practices in coding, architecture, and devops to optimize system performance. Collaborate to optimize cloud computing, automation, and AI-driven technology solutions. Oversee the deployment, enhancement, and maintenance across platforms. Focus on building a high-performing tech team with continuous learning and development opportunities for the team. Cultivate a culture of transparency, empowerment, and continuous improvement.

IT Infrastructure & Security

Ensure scalability, security, and efficiency of IT systems, applications, and cloud infrastructure. Oversee cloud architecture (AWS, Azure), DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, microservices, and API integrations Implement cybersecurity frameworks to protect user data, transactions, and digital operations, ensuring compliance with GDPR and GCC regulations. Keep the platform ready for security audits and strengthen employee awareness with cybersecurity best practices. Manage IT governance, data privacy, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies

Software Development & Digital Transformation

Lead the software engineering team to build and maintain high-performance mobility solutions. Oversee the development of AI-powered analytics, automation tools, and predictive intelligence to optimize fleet operations and customer experience. Enhance UX/UI, app performance, and digital touchpoints to improve customer engagement and conversion rates. Drive innovation in automated vehicle tracking, demand prediction, and self-learning AI driven fleet intelligence. Launch R&D projects to explore emerging technologies, aiming to integrate into our products and services to stay ahead of the curve.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

Collaborate with C-level executives, operational teams, and external tech partners to optimize IT solutions to leverage the platforms and tools, enhancing product capabilities and market reach. Manage relationships with third-party technology vendors, cloud service providers, and AI solution partners. Represent at mobility tech forums, industry events, and innovation summits.

What We're Looking For

Key Qualifications:

7-10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, preferably in mobility, automotive tech, ride-hailing, or SaaS. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Core Technical Expertise: with android (Kotlin), ios (Swift), HTML, CSS, PHP (OOP), MySql and jQuery. Strong expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, AI/ML, IoT, telematics, and cybersecurity. Experience leading software development, mobility platforms, and fleet intelligence solutions. Proven ability to manage large-scale IT operations, digital transformation projects, and technology optimizations. Knowledge of IT governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks in UAE/GCC. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and ability to align technology and business goals. Certifications such as CIO, CTO, PMP, Agile, Cloud Certifications are a plus.

Technology Framework

Backend & Frameworks: Utilize Node.js, .NET Core (C#), Python for server-side development. Frameworks like Blazor, ASP.NET Web, API/MVC, and Entit Framework facilitate robust backend solutions. Frontend Development: Vue.js, React.js, Angular, Next.js, Nuxt.js, and Blazor. Full Stack Development: MEAN (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular,Node.js), MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js), and MEVN (MongoDB, Express.js, Vue.js, Node.js) stacks, Airtable, Retool, No code for comprehensive solutions. PHP Framework: Laravel, symfony, CodeIgniter or Yii for scalable application development; OOP,MVC architecture and design patterns Specialized Technologies: Blockchain & Cryptocurrency, Real-Time Technologies (Socket Programming, Socket.IO, WebRTC, and Agora.io.), Cloud & DevOps native architecture (Azure, AWS, GCP, and tools like Docker, Kubernetes.) Mobile and No-Code Development: Proficiency in Flutter, React Native, Xamarin, and Phonegap along with No-Code Platforms: Bubble.io, Retool, Airtable. Database and Identity Management: Knowledge base with MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases like AWS DynamoDB, RedisDB, Azure CosmosDB, Cassandra, Neo4j. Identity & Access Management: Secure applications with Azure AD, Auth0, Okta, AWS Cognito. Bot Framework: Develop chatbots with Microsoft Bot Framework, ChatGPT, Amazon Lex. Programming Methodologies and Patterns: SOLID, Microservices architecture, MVC, MVVM, and Design Patterns. Server Technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, IIS, Nginx. Project Management Tools: Organize projects with Trello, JIRA,ClickUp, GIT, GitHub, GitLab. CRM, CMS, and Other Tools: Salesforce, Dynamics 365.
