How Youll Make an Impact As Head of Project Management, you will be reporting to the Head of Projects. Your principal role will be the coordination project execution through all phase from PM080 till PM670, being accountable for profit and loss, change management, project reporting, team management as well as mentoring and coaching of your project team. You should have previously managed large and complex projects in the energy industry and be able to demonstrate success in your previous project delivery. Leadership:
provide leadership, guidance and support to project execution teams, implement mindset of ownership, accountability, transparency and continuous improvement.
Coordinate and implement project execution to deliver organizations financial targets
Review, discuss and agree on roles and responsibilities for project execution team
Seek active feedback on your performance (from staff, managers & customers)
Adhere to the Siemens Business Conduct Guidelines (e.g. Tax regulations & IR35, Delegation of employees, Export Control, EHS (environment, health and safety))
Project oversight and financial targets:
Implement PM@SE guidelines and processes for all projects
define financial targets for each project (revenue conversion, GM improvement, payment collection, risk and opportunity management)
conduct regular project reviews, monitor project execution quality, track budget and resource utilization, and ensure project delivery as per the set financial targets
conduct project handover (PM080) and project kick-off meetings (PM100), ensure adherence to the project excellence guidelines
Team management and performance:
conduct regular performance reviews and check-ins
support team with their preparation of personal development plans
provide guidance, training and mentorship
plan and coordinate team development and trainings supporting the business strategy
Stakeholder communication and financial reporting:
collaborate with cross-functional teams, executives, and external stakeholders
aggregate monthly project execution status, incl. financial KPIs, risks and opportunities overview, NCC report, and execution achievements/challenges
ensure continuous improvement of NPS rating
Change management (Risk, opportunity, NCC):
conduct regular risk reviews, ensure adherence to PM@SE risk and opportunity assessment process
coordinate the identification, evaluation, and mitigation of project risks
develop risk management plans and contingency strategies
report non conformance costs (NCCs), conduct lessons learned
Continuous Improvement and Lessons Learned:
identify, develop and implement project excellence measures in alignment with PMO
drive process improvements to enhance financial performance
conduct lessons learned sessions, create a continuous learning and improvement mindset in the project organization
share insights with the organization to improve future projects.
What You Bring
Bachelors in engineering from an accredited university, MBA is a plus
7+ years experience as project lead of complex projects, industry experience is a plus
experience in leading and managing multi-cultural teams in an exemplary and inspirational manner
Global mindset with strong intercultural sensitivity and ability to work with teams and stakeholders around the globe
Proven diplomatic, management, and communication skills to liaise and advocate with governments/customers, thought leaders, and other key stakeholders.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and the ability to communicate cross-culturally.
Positive can-do attitude and ability to work in an environment with competing demands which requires prioritization of activities.
Ability to travel
