This role ensures that the sales function operates efficiently and effectively to achieve company revenue targets, enhance customer relationships, and drive business growth. The Head of Sales Operations will oversee the sales team, streamline processes, and collaborate closely with other departments to ensure operational alignment and success.Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth across various channels, including retail, foodservice, and direct-to-consumer.
Set clear sales targets and KPIs to ensure alignment with business goals and regularly monitor performance against these targets.
Lead sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes to ensure sales projections are met.
Sales Operations & Process Improvement:
Oversee the sales pipeline and ensure efficient lead generation, qualification, and conversion strategies are in place.
Implement best practices for sales process management to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the customer experience.
Continuously analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and streamline sales operations.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, manage, and motivate a high-performing sales team, setting clear expectations and driving accountability.
Provide mentorship and training to the sales team, ensuring continuous skill development and performance improvement.
Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
Ensure the effective use of CRM systems to track sales activities, manage customer interactions, and optimize the sales process.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners to drive loyalty and repeat business.
Monitor customer satisfaction and work closely with the customer service team to resolve issues and improve service levels.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the supply chain, production, and finance teams to ensure alignment between sales targets and operational capabilities.
Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure sales campaigns and promotions align with sales objectives and reach the target audience effectively.
Collaborate with senior leadership to assess market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Performance Metrics & Reporting:
Provide regular sales reports and performance analysis to senior leadership, highlighting key trends, challenges, and opportunities.
Analyze sales performance by channel, region, and product category to identify areas for improvement and growth.
Use data to forecast future sales trends and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business, Sales, or a related field.
Minimum 10+ years of experience in sales leadership roles within the food and beverage industry.
Proven track record in driving sales growth, managing teams, and achieving revenue goals.
Strong understanding of sales strategies, pipeline management, and performance metrics.
Proficient with CRM systems and sales analytics tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing market conditions.
