The CompanyRobert Half is working on an exclusive basis with a leading Utilities Services company based in Abu Dhabi.The RoleOur client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) to join a dynamic team growing from strength to strength. This is a pivotal role which will involve leading the groups M&A activities to drive strategic growth and operational excellence.
Strategic Leadership: Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of M&A opportunities aligned with the Group\'s strategic objectives.
Due Diligence: Oversee comprehensive due diligence processes, including financial, operational, legal, and market analyses to ensure informed decision-making.
Integration Management: Develop and implement integration plans to ensure seamless transitions and realization of synergies from acquired entities.
Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential targets within the water/power management industry.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including target company executives, advisors, and internal team members.
Financial Modelling: Create and review complex financial models to assess the viability and potential returns of proposed M&A transactions.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all M&A activities comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to the Executive Director on the progress and outcomes of M&A activities.
The Candidate
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in M&A, with a significant portion within the water/power management industry.
Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
Extensive experience with financial modelling, valuation techniques, and due diligence processes.
Strong understanding of market dynamics and regulatory frameworks within the water/power management sector.
Proven track record of successfully leading and integrating M&A transactions.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Excel, financial analysis software).
